The owners of this two bedroom in Manhattan’s West Village requested that GPIDC completely update the apartment, which had gone untouched and undecorated since the building’s construction in the 1960’s and had dated finishes and a compartmentalized layout. The walls and floors were removed, the floor plan reconfigured to accommodate larger bathrooms, a master dressing area, a chef’s kitchen, and a great room for living and dining. Lush materials such as Mexican travertine, Bisazza glass tiles and terrazzo floors in the bathrooms, as well as new moldings, media wiring, lighting, and cabinetry help to reinvigorate this landmarked apartment. |
